      <image:title>Get involved - Your donations</image:title>
<image:caption>Last year with personal donations, we purchased uniforms for twenty students and paid for their school fees that they were behind in. These students were chosen by the principle due to the fact that their parents could not afford uniforms and had become behind in the school fees. We felt it important that everyone had a uniform and that no one would feel as an outcast. Presently, with this website, we are asking for assistance with food and with our Sustainable Garden Project. The students and teachers desperately need school supplies. The word Chedutu comes from the Telugu language and translates into English as “belonging.” With your donations, we want the students of this school to experience the feeling of belonging.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Get involved - Volunteer</image:title>
<image:caption>At the present time we do not have a program for volunteers to travel to Zimbabwe. The Covid-19 pandemic has put our desire to put this project on hold. It is not safe for many reasons. However, it is our dream to work with those in the future who would like to share their expertise with these children. The Shona language is spoken by the natives but the Queen’s English is taught in the schools. The times that I have visited the school have been amazing. Watching them perform their cultural dances and seeing the smiles on their faces is quite a heart shattering experience.</image:caption>

<image:caption>According to the United Nations, nearly 90% of Zimbabwean children experience malnutrition. We’re on a mission to help change that by bringing food and supplies to Chedutu Primary School. With the help of generous supporters like you, we’re optimistic we’ll achieve our goals!</image:caption>

      <image:title>Mission - Providing water</image:title>
<image:caption>The water situation is pathetic. In 2019 a new borehole was drilled but there is still not a pump installed. The teachers are struggling to access water relying on the one and only borehole in the area that caters for two villages both people and animals. The school is failing to raise funds for the completion of the project. Please help us help them to purchase a pump and get it installed. Once the water provision is completed, everything will go smoothly. As you know, water is life and everything is possible once there is water. - John Dube</image:caption>

      <image:title>Mission - School feeding program</image:title>
<image:caption>The school has been closed since March, 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic but is scheduled to open on September 28th, 2020. According to recent data released by the ZimVAC, 5.5 million people, 38 percent of the rural population, is currently facing food insecurity. By the end of this year, the food security situation is expected to “worsen” with an estimated eight million people requiring urgent action to reduce food consumptions gaps and save livelihoods. The government department of Social Welfare which used to supply schools with maize grain, has stopped since the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We want to ensure food accessibility through programs focused on putting the best healthy food possible into the hands of the Chedutu School community. We are researching different avenues to get maize grain to the school and once the garden project is producing, there will be fresh vegetables. - John Dube</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Sustainable Agriculture Program seeks to support the development, application, research and exchange of best teaching and learning practices in Sustainable Agriculture Education and Curriculum through communication, training, development and collaborative activities for teachers and learners. Our mission is to build community through education, food accessibility and by being a model of appropriate land stewardship and Sustainable Agriculture Techniques. We will encourage a continuation of Organic farming methods through training and providing the tools for garden hands on practicals in their own pursuit of responsible land Stewardship. - John Dube</image:caption>
